Historia was founded in 1956 and is the official journal of the Historical Association of South Africa. It is a refereed publication aimed at promoting current research in South African and African history, historical method, philosophy, theory and historiography. Full text from volume 45, 2000 is currently free of charge on it website. http://journals.sabinet.co.za/hist/
Historia is also now available on CD from the first 1956 edition up to the November 2001.
